I've been wanting to post a giveaway for Mother's Day all week.
I think I've finally settled on what I want to do.
The winner may choose any print from my Etsy shop in 8x10 or 8x8 size.
All photographs are printed exclusively on Kodak Professional Endura Paper in a beautiful lustre finish.
Some mother's day facts:
In its present form, Mother's Day was established by Anna Marie Jarvis, following the death of her mother Ann Jarvis on May 9, 1905, with the help of a Philadelphia merchant called John Wanamaker. A small service was held in 12 May 1907 in the Andrew's Methodist Episcopal Church in Grafton, West Virginia, where Anna's mother had been teaching Sunday school. But the first "official" service was in 10 May 1908 in the same church, accompanied by a larger ceremony in the Wanamaker Auditorium in the Wanamaker's store on Philadelphia. She then campaigned to establish Mother's Day as a U.S. national holiday, and later as an international holiday.
The holiday was declared officially by the state of West Virginia in 1910, and the rest of states followed quickly. On May 8, 1914, the U.S. Congress passed a law designating the second Sunday in May as Mother's Day.
Here's some typical motherly advice...we've all said a few of these:
* Make sure to change your underwear always; you never know when you'll have an accident.
* Don't make that face or it'll solidify in that position.
* Be careful or else you'll put your eye out.
* What if everyone jumped into a well? Would you do it, too?
* You have enough filth behind those ears to grow potatoes!
* C'mon close that door! Were you born in a barn?
* If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all.
* Don't put that thing in your mouth; you don't know where it's been!
All you have to do is visit my Etsy shop and come back here and tell me which of my prints is your favorite.

So an early Happy Mother's day to all the Moms out there, and remember....Mom's are special. First they dream of us, then they lead us by the hand into an uncertain world. They love us, support us, encourage us, and comfort us, helping us realize who we are, while pointing us toward who we can be.
