Children reinvent your world for you

I've heard tell that having your first grandchild is nothing short of the best thing in the world! I'm here to tell you that I agree!!

10 weeks ago my beautiful daughter gave birth to my first grandchild....Bennett Roy.
This whole event was really quite an emotional experience for me. After all this was my 'baby girl' having a baby. Ok she's plenty old enough to be having a baby, but still....isn't your "baby" always your baby?

There's really no describing how it feels watching your own children experience the birth event, then watching them develop those mothering skills.
Sometimes I look at her and the baby and think "this can't be possible".

But indeed it is possible and SO much fun!
The biggest problem I'm having now is constantly asking myself....

What do I do?? Hold the baby or take pictures....take pictures or hold the baby!! I want to do both all the time!!

Incredible changes have been occurring in the 10 short weeks since his birth. He's now a smiley baby, and responds to all the people looking at him with big beautiful grins and laughs. So fun to be able to capture those cute little smiles on camera.

So I thought it was time to post a few more recent photos of the little guy. I'm sure there's going to be more down the road.

A great quote I found that sums it all up quite nicely:

"Your children are your investment.
Your grandchildren are your dividends"
